Mission

Disha operates under the aegis of a registered charitable trust known as the Jyoti Development Trust (JDT) from Seema Centre, I.I.T. Kharagpur India.

JDT's mission is to empower the underprivileged women and youth.This it tries to achieve through the activities of Disha by: 

• • Developing life skills in general and entrepreneurial skill in particular so that the beneficiaries can lead their lives with dignity.

  •  Motivating the privileged youth of the surrounding community to participate in pursuing JDT's mission.           

  •  Facilitating higher education for girls.
